Accessibility statement for Wyre Forest Heritage Weddings

This website is run by Wyre Forest District Council. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

change colours, contrast levels and fonts
zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen

Non compliance with the accessibility regulations

Some of our pages are difficult to navigate using just a keyboard. This doesn’t meet WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.1.1 (Keyboard). We plan to fix this problem very soon.
There are some issues with our ARIA ids. This doesn’t meet WCAG 2.1 success criterion 4.1.2 – (Name, Role, Value) or 1.3.1 (info and relationships). We plan to fix this problem in the next couple of months.
There are some issues with contrast. This doesn't meet WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.3 (Contrast minimum). We are working on fixing this.

How we tested this website

This website was last tested on 27 September 2019. The test was carried out by Wyre Forest District Council web team.

We tested a sample of pages (chosen to represent one page of each type) on our main website platform, available at www.wyreforestheritageweddings.co.uk

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

A procurement process is underway to buy digital quality monitoring software which will include accessibility compliance. Once purchased this will be used to automatically assess the compliance of any new content on a regular basis.
